Binetter Eye Centre

The Binetter Eye Centre is a specialist eye health provider. It was formed through the unification of the highly regarded Australian Institute of Eye Surgery and The Cataract Clinic, both established in 1996.

Our modern laser eye surgery is a patient-focused centre of excellence with the sole aim of achieving the best possible results using the safest and most reliable techniques.

Our head surgeon: Dr Ron Binetter (MBBS, FRANZCO, FRACS)

The centre is led by Dr Ron Binetter. A global LASIK pioneer, he is perhaps Australia’s foremost practitioner. With nearly 20 years of experience, over 38,000 successful procedures to his credit and a highly trained team around him, Dr Binetter really is the keystone of the centre that bears his name.

The culmination of his life’s work, the Binetter Eye Centre is a full surgical facility that has been purpose-built to provide the best possible treatment for many kinds of eye conditions.

About the eye conditions we treat

Our technology: the highest-quality and most trusted equipment

Our operating theatres and consulting rooms are outfitted with the best eye-surgery equipment available. Everything is rigorously regularly serviced, revised, updated and maintained by the manufacturers themselves on a best-practice schedule. Every procedure and result is monitored and reviewed by our medical director.

Schwind Amaris excimer laser technology

Imagine a surgical laser that doesn’t use heat yet achieves ultra-precise results. That is what our Amaris Excimer Laser offers. As an ultraviolet laser, it utilises argon and fluorine gas to create a cool beam of light that breaks molecular bonds, gently vaporising the unwanted tissue with microscopic exactness.

About our technology

Our care: commitment to our patients

Vision is the dominant sense around which human society functions. Sight is vital. This is why we respect the importance vision has for every one of our patients. We undertake a commitment to improving your vision with the utmost seriousness. Helping people to see is the calling and life’s work of our expert surgeons.

We respect that eye surgery is something many people are apprehensive about, therefore we strive to do our best to make your procedures as pleasant as possible.

We are fully accredited by the New South Wales Department of Health and Australian Council of Healthcare Standards. Your outcomes – in terms of surgical results and satisfaction with our care – are the most crucial aspects in clinical success.

For us, safety is paramount. We live and breathe all 10 of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards. These legislatively endorsed standards have been designed to instill and constantly improve safety and quality systems.

NSQHS Standards:
